Rough Country 1142 TJ Sway Bar Disconnects
Let the front suspension work when the trail gets uneven, then reconnect the sway bar before returning to the road. Rough Country’s 1142 quick-disconnect links are built for TJ Wranglers running 4–6 inches of suspension lift.
Pull the pins for off-road articulation and secure the links on the supplied frame brackets, clear of the front-end components. No loose links bouncing around under the Jeep.
Trail / Road Use
Disconnect for appropriate low-speed off-road use and secure the links on the supplied storage brackets. Reconnect before road driving. These links do not replace safe driving or correct suspension setup.
Lift Range & Vehicle Fitment
1997–2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ and 2004–2006 Wrangler Unlimited TJ, 4WD. Fits only vehicles with 4–6 inches of suspension lift. Not a stock-height application or a complete lift kit.

Rough Country part 1142; UPC 843030101398. Front disconnect-link pair with bushings, rod ends, upper mounts, driver/passenger frame storage brackets, disconnect pins, hitch pins and associated hardware. Manufacturer instructions identify the complete parts list.
Install & Recheck
Estimated installation: 1–2 hours. Follow the prescribed link length and bracket positions; keep stored links clear of front-end components. Re-tighten all components after 500 miles and every 3,000 miles afterward. Install the driver-warning decal and retain the instructions with the vehicle.
